Professional & Executive Development Coaching

In one-on-one sessions we examine the impact of personal communication style on leadership, decision-making, work-life balance issues, interactions with others, and collaboration. Clients learn to integrate interpersonal with organizational skills throughout the coaching process. Combining the science of communication (behavior analysis, organizational skill building, and instant video feedback) with the art of communication (voice training, body movement, and acting techniques) results in more effective presentation and leadership strategies.

Coaching is customized to meet the needs of seasoned corporate professionals, recent hires, or the newly promoted. Those whose careers are stalling or derailing also find the coaching process invaluable for getting back on track. Each meeting is tailored to fulfill the client's unique objectives, whether addressing short-term goals or ongoing development needs. Popular content topics include executive presence, self-promotion (bragging and branding), women’s leadership, supervising others, time management, and dealing with the media.

Executive Development Six-Month Coaching Package (for ongoing needs)
This package is designed for a longer-term coaching. In a series of confidential, one-on-one sessions we examine and address personal communication style, interpersonal interaction, collaboration, decision-making, work-life balance, team supervision, and strategic visioning, among other topics. We begin the coaching process by discussing with the supervisor(s) and/or hiring party the specific issues needing attention, desired results, and the internal resources available for supporting the goals of the coaching. In addition, existing performance evaluations and feedback from bosses, colleagues, and/or direct reports are solicited. The client then completes an in-depth questionnaire. During the first coaching session we identify and prioritize goals and benchmarks, along with the processes we will use to achieve them. Coaching continues with a series of in-person and phone meetings, followed by email contact as needed. This package includes the following:
  • Discussion with supervisor(s), hiring party, colleagues, and/or direct reports regarding desired results

  • Pre-coaching self-assessment using the Klaus & Associates communication and leadership questionnaire and, as needed, the 16PF from The Center for Creative Leadership

  • Initial in-person coaching, taken either in two-half day sessions or in one full-day meeting, during which goals are identified and prioritized

  • Check-in with supervisor(s) to clarify outcomes, monitoring, and internal support for reaching goals

  • Synopsis incorporating a coaching plan, homework, and behavioral prompts

  • Four hours email/phone time per month

  • In-person session midway through the process, taken either in two-half day sessions or in one full-day meeting

  • Additional contact with supervisor(s) as needed

  • In-person session at end of the six month period, taken either in two-half day sessions or in one full-day meeting

  • Updated synopsis with revised coaching plan, homework, and behavioral prompts

Following an initial Executive Development Package, ongoing coaching is available in six-month increments.
